If there could be one pretty damn filmmaker, who doesn’t use his senses of creativity (Sorry! One can use it only if they have it first), it can be none other than Gowtham Menon. The filmmaker has been a fantastic chiseler, who copycats almost every Hollywood film by watching the DVDs.
Here’s how the filmmaker works:
Hire 15-20 assistant directors.
Ask everyone to watch 2 DVDs everyday
Lift 2 scenes according to the script he is working…
In this manner, he hasn’t delivered any scenes of his own. If you want to meet Gowtham Menon and if it is not possible to meet him in the office, we recommend you few places, frequently visited by him. Parsan Complex near Gemini Flyover, Burma Bazaar and other DVD rental shops… These places have whole lot of new arrivals of various genres and our so-called Top-class filmmaker buys and hires them frequently.
Even a 5-year old kid would know the process of filmmaking. A filmmaker is supposed to complete the script work before commencing the shooting. But know what Gowtham Menon does? Go to the shooting spot and then start writing the dialogues, play cricket on the locations.
The pathetic part is that even his mannerisms, his style of interaction during interviews, body languages and behaving in a peculiar style is copied from the ‘SPECIAL FEATURES OF DVDs’. This man seems to be watching the ‘Making of Films’ and carefully inherit the mannerisms, the style of behaviors of those versatile filmmakers and copycat here.
Such an artificial person!!
He wanted to make a cop story soon after the latest release ‘Sherlock Holmes’ and hired around 15-20 DVDs based on cop movies. He was crazy enough to narrate the tale with scenes lifted from various movies. Did he think that our ‘Thala’ is so unaware about such movies?
He never narrates the script to his actors and that was the reason why Bollywood actress Tabu refused to work with him.
Gowtham Menon has always been getting into clashes with his actors and technicians. First it was Harris Jayaraj and now our ‘Thala’.
The filmmaker can better admit that he is running out of ideas and credit the list of DVDs he copies in every movies.
But, he has to watch over his words before commenting anything. In a recent interview, he has mentioned that – He would work with people, who have their head firmly placed over their shoulder. He would either for Kamal Sir or his good Friend Suriya.
Our Dear Gowtham! Just remember that Ajith Kumar had the capabilities of doing the roles far better than Suriya. It was so evident with his mind-blowing performance in ‘Vaali’, ‘Varalaru’, ‘Villain’, and ‘Citizen’ and so on… And most of the films that happen to be the turning point in Suriya’s career were left by him such as Nerukku Naer, Nandha, Ghajini and so many projects.
If even Ajith Kumar remains calm, his fans are completely infuriated with such statements and we on the behalf of Ajith Kumar, strongly condemn Gowtham Menon to control his tongue.
P.S. Gowtham Menon’s next movie ‘Nadunisi Naaigal’ is also a DVD remake of ‘Border Town’.
