அஜீத் நடித்து கடந்த 6-ம் தேதி வெளியான திரைப்படம் அசல். சிவாஜி புரொடக்ஷன்ஸ் சார்பில் பிரபு தயாரித்திருந்தார். இந்தப் படம் உலகமெங்கும் 550 பிரிண்டுகள் வரை வெளியானது.
ஏகன் படத்தின் தோல்விக்குப் பிறகு வந்த படம் என்பதால் ரசிகர்கள் பெரும் எதிர்பார்ப்புடன் காத்திருந்தனர். தமிழகத்தில் 350 திரையரங்குகளில் வெளியான இந்தப் படத்துக்கு சென்னையில் ஒருவாரம் வரை (வரும் வியாழக்கிழமை வரை) முன்பதிவு முடிந்துள்ளது.
வெளிநாடுகளில் சரியான முறையில் விநியோகிக்கப்படாவிட்டாலும் கூட ரசிகர்கள் மத்தியில் நல்ல வரவேற்பு இருந்ததாக விநியோகஸ்தர்கள் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர். மொத்தம் 41 நாடுகளில் இந்தப் படம் வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ளதாம்.
படம் குறித்து கலவையான விமர்சனங்கள் இருந்தாலும், முதல் வார வசூலிலேயே தயாரிப்பாளர் போட்ட ‘அசலை’ எடுத்து விடுவார்கள் என்கிறார்கள் விநியோகஸ்தர்கள்.
இதுவரை ரூ 18 கோடியை இந்தப்படம் வசூலித்துவிட்டதாகவும் அசல் பட விநியோகஸ்தர்கள் கூறியுள்ளனர். இது அசல் கணக்கா அல்லது கந்தசாமிக்கு கலைப்புலி தாணு கொடுத்த மாதிரியான கணக்கா என்பதை உறுதி செய்ய முடியவில்லை.
