சில இடங்களுக்கு போனால் நரம்பெல்லாம் சிலிர்க்கும். அப்படிதான் அசலின் துவக்க விழாவும் இருந்தது அஜீத்திற்கு. வாசலில் நின்றிருந்த தொண்டர்கள், ‘தல… கொஞ்சம் தலையை மட்டும் காட்டுங்க. போதும்’ என்று கூக்குரல் இட்டார்கள். அவர்களுக்கு முகத்தை காட்ட சற்று உயரமான இடத்தை தேடினார் அஜீத். ‘பால்கனிக்கு போயிடலாம்’ என்று பிரபு அழைக்க, அங்கிருந்தபடியே கையசைத்து ரசிகர்களை உற்சாகப்படுத்தினார் அஜீத்.
கீழே இறங்கும்போது பிரபு சொன்னதுதான் அஜீத்தின் நரம்புகள் சிலிர்க்க காரணமாக இருந்த வார்த்தைகள். ‘அப்பா தன்னோட ரசிகர்களை இங்கே நின்றுதான் உற்சாகப்படுத்துவார். திரளாக கூடிவிடும் ரசிகர்களை பார்க்காமல் திருப்பி அனுப்ப மனசு வராது அவருக்கு. அந்த நேரத்தில் இந்த பால்கனியில் நின்றுதான் அவங்களுக்கு கைகளை ஆட்டி அன்பை வெளிப்படுத்துவார்’ என்றாராம் பிரபு.
அன்னை இல்லத்திலிருந்து கிளம்பும் போது திரும்பவும் அந்த பால்கனியை பார்த்து சிலிர்த்தார் தல!

A Soldier’s
At the end of a summer’s day,

You were truly the love of my life,

and on October 9th, 2003, you were a soldier
and being a solider was what made you, you.
And you were doing what you loved,

because the pride I feel comes from my very heart,
and I know that we’re still together

You died a true hero,

and you did it in some unforgettable way,
