தி நகர் போக் சாலையில் உள்ள சிவாஜியின் அன்னை இல்லத்தில் நான்கு திரையரங்குகள் நிறையும் அளவுக்கு கூட்டம். தெருவெங்கும் அல்டிமேட் ஸ்டாரை வாழ்த்தி போஸ்டர்கள், பேனர்கள், பிளக்ஸ் போர்டுகள். அசல் படத் தொடக்க விழாவை படத்தின் ஓபனிங் நாளைப் போல் அசத்தினர் அஜித்தின் ரசிகர்கள்.
நல்லவேளை, தொடக்கவிழா அழைப்பிதழில் யார் யார் விழாவில் கலந்து கொள்கிறார்கள் என்பதை குறிப்பிடவில்லை. ரஜினியின் பெயரை போட்டிருந்தால் தி நகர் திமிலோகப்பட்டிருக்கும்.

பாபா படத் தோல்விக்குப் பிறகு எனக்கு ஒரு வெற்றி தேவைப்பட்டது. இந்த வீட்டில் வைத்துதான் சந்திரமுகி படத்துக்கு பூஜை போட்டார்கள். படம் மிகப் பெரிய வெற்றி. அசல் படத்துக்கு இப்போது பூஜை போடுகிறார்கள். இந்தப் படமும் மிகப் பெரிய வெற்றியை பெறும் என மனப்பூர்வமாக வாழ்த்தினார்.
தனது பேச்சின் நடுவே, அசல் ஹீரோ அஜித்தான் என்று ரஜினி குறிப்பிட்டபோது பார்வையாளர்கள் பக்கமிருந்து விசில்.
சிவாஜி இந்த வீட்டில் இருந்துதானே பாசமலர், பாலும் பழமும் வீரபாண்டிய கட்டப்பொம்மன் படங்களின் சூட்டிங்கிற்கு சென்றிருப்பார் என வைரமுத்து சிவாஜியை நினைவு கூர்ந்தவிதம் சோகமான மலரும் நினைவு. இதனை தனது பேச்சில் குறிப்பிட்ட ரஜினி, சிவாஜி வாழ்ந்த அன்னை இல்லம் தமிழ் திரையுலகுக்கு மட்டுமல்ல தென்னிந்திய திரையுலகுக்கே தாய் வீடு என்றார்.
ரஜினியின் வருகையும், அஜித்தை அவர் வாழ்த்திய விதமும் ரசிகர்களை ரொம்பவே உணர்ச்சிவசப்படுத்தியது. அடுத்த சூப்பர் ஸ்டார் அஜித்தான், சூப்பர் ஸ்டாரே சொல்லிட்டாரே … கள்ளுண்ட களிப்பில் கலைந்தது ரசிகப் பட்டாளம்.

டைரக்டர் சரண் இயக்கத்தில் அஜித் நடிக்கவுள்ள படம் அசல். சிவாஜி புரொடக்ஷன் சார்பில் நடிகர் பிரபு தயாரிக்கும் இப்படத்தில் அஜித்துக்கு ஜோடியாக நடிக்கும் நடிகை யார்? என இன்னமும் முடிவாகவில்லை. படத்தின் தொடக்கவிழா பூஜை இன்று (8ம்தேதி) சென்னை தி.நகர் செவாலியே சிவாஜிகணேசன் சாலையில் உள்ள அன்னை இல்லத்தில் பிரமாண்டமாக நடந்தது.
விழாவில் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக நடிகர் ரஜினிகாந்த், தனது மகள் சவுந்தர்யாவுடன் கலந்து கொண்டு வாழ்த்தி பேசினார். அவர் பேசுகையில், என் மகளுடன் எந்த சினிமா விழாவுக்கும் சென்றதில்லை. முதன் முதலாக சவுந்தர்யாவுடன் இணைந்து அன்னை இல்லத்திற்கு இந்த பூஜைக்கு வரவேண்டும் என்று வந்தேன். அவ்வளவு ராசியான வீடு இது. இந்த வீட்டில் இருந்துதானே சிவாஜி சார், வீரபாண்டிய கட்டபொம்மன், பாலும் பழமும், திருவிளையாடல் உள்ளிட்ட படங்களின் படப்பிடிப்புக்கு கிளம்பி சென்றார் என்று நினைக்கும்போதே, பூஜை போடப்படும் அசல் படம் எத்தனை வெற்றி பெறும் என்பது தெரிகிறது. இங்குதான் சந்திரமுகி படத்துக்கும் பூஜை போட்டோம். ஆனால் ரொம்ப சிம்பிளாக பூஜை போடப்பட்டு, அது வெற்றி கண்டது. இன்று அஜித்தின் அசல் இவ்வளவு பிரமாண்டமாக பூஜை போடப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதன் வெற்றி சந்திரமுகியை விட பெரிதாக இருக்க வாழ்த்துகிறேன், என்றார்.
நடிகர் பிரபு பேசுகையில், பில்லா படத்தில் இணைந்து நடிக்கும்போது தம்பி அஜித்திடம் சிவாஜி புரொடக்ஷனுக்கு ஒரு படம் பண்ணணும்னு கேட்டேன். தம்பி சரின்னு ஒத்துக்கிச்சு. இதோ.. டைரக்டர் சரண் இயக்கத்தில் அசல் படத்தை ஆரம்பிச்சிட்டோம். அசல் பட கதைக்காகவோ, கால்ஷீட்டுக்காகவோ ஒரு நாளும் அஜித்தை சூட்டிங் ஸ்பாட்டிலோ, வீட்டிலோ போய் நான் பார்க்கவில்லை. நான் வருகிறேன் என்றபோது அவரே சிவாஜி சார் வீட்டில் வந்து நான் கதை கேட்கிறேன் என்று அன்னை இல்லம் வந்தார். எல்லோரும் விரும்பியதாலும், அப்பாவும்- அம்மாவும் கூடவே இருக்கிற மாதிரி உணர்வு இருக்கிறதாலும் நானும், அண்ணன் ராம்குமாரும் முடிவு செய்து அசல் பூஜையை இங்கேயே வைத்து விட்டோம். இயக்குனர் சரண், அஜித், இசையமைப்பாளர் பரத்வாஜ், கவிஞர் வைரமுத்து, யூகி சேது, கேமராமேன் பிரசாந்த், எடிட்டர் ஆண்டனி, ஆர்ட் டைரக்டர் எம்.பிரபாகரன் என்று வெற்றி கூட்டணி அமைந்திருக்கும் இந்த படத்தின் டைட்டிலுக்கு மேல், அஜித் பெயருக்கு மேல் சிவாஜி புரொடக்ஷன் பிரபு வழங்கும் அவரே போட்டுக் கொள்ளச் சொன்னதால்தான் என் பெயரை அஜித் பெயருக்கு மேல் போட்டுக் கொண்டேன். இதற்காக இங்கு குழுமியிருக்கும் அஜித் ரசிகர்கள் என் மீது கோபம் கொள்ளக் கூடாது என கிண்டலாக பேசிய பிரபு, இந்த படத்தில் டைரக்டர் சரணும், அஜித்தும் விரும்பினால் நானும் ஏதாவது ஒரு ரோலில் நடிப்பேன் என்று விளையாட்டாகவும் பேசினார்.
விழாவில் கவிஞர் வைரமுத்து, ஏவி.எம்.சரவணன், நடிகர்கள் சத்யராஜ், சூர்யா, கார்த்தி, இயக்குனர்கள் கே.பாலசந்தர், பி.வாசு, ஆர்.வி.உதயகுமார், ஜெயம் ராஜா, எடிட்டர் மோகன், ஷாலினி அஜித் உள்ளிட்ட பலர் கலந்து கொண்டனர். அசல் பட பூஜைக்கு அஜித் வந்திருக்கும் தகவல் கிடைத்த ஏராளமான ரசிகர்கள் அன்னை இல்லம் பகுதியில் திரண்டதால், அங்கு காலை 9 மணி முதல் மதியம் 12 மணி வரை டிராபிக்ஜாம் ஏற்பட்டது.

The Problem with Vijay
1. Selection of Scripts/Stories/Screenplay - Look at his movies over the past few years. All were commercial, typical run-of-the-mill masala potboilers. All except ATM and Sachien. And this may not be largely attributed to just Vijay’s lack of taste for scripts, but also to his fan’s non-acceptance of him in non-action related roles. Vijay’s selection of script is largely in contrast to that of Suriya’s. The contrast is Entertainment Vs Quality. This does not mean one should compromise one for the other. Both should be major aspects of a movie’s success, but one should not overpower the other. When Vijay did Sachien, I thought his acting was cute, awesome and natural. Sadly, the movie bombed at the box office. But when he took on the monotonous roles in Thirupachi, Gillie and Pokkiri, they ruled the roost. Of course it is well-known that even his fans could not save him from the immensely ridiculously plotted Kuruvi, Villu and Aadi. So it must be admitted that even his fans give more importance to story than Vijay himself. So he should probably stop making movies that he thinks will and should cater to his fans, and not bank on his star power all the time. Vijay badly needs counseling on selecting the right scripts that are able to show more of acting skills rather than his larger-than-life image. And remakes are not the way to do it. The Vijay that we saw in Thullatha Manamum Thullum, Sachien and Madura needs to come back - and that too badly. Gautham Menon, Shankar, Mani Ratnam are the directors that could probably give his career a saving grace.
2. Looks, Styling, Wardrobe - Vijay’s idea of fashion is highly pitiful and lousy. His sense of dressing and unkempt looks are a put off. He needs a hair stylist urgently and that too a good one. He should take dressing tips/lessons from Korean Drama Actors. Honestly, Vijay’s lack of style in terms of wardrobe shows him off as anything but a superstar. He looks dirty and messy, a look that he thinks that his fans probably love or accept, but this look is so internationally unfriendly. It simply lacks standards. His dressing in the second half of Villu was stylish, but his unkempt looks cancelled this style out. He tried to put on a playboy image but simply failed to. His Ramarajan colored bellbottom pants were prevalent only in the 80’s but he refuses to give them up. The ugly chest-hair and beard are all minus points. Being in Singapore and living with other races, it is hard to show off to my Chinese and Malay friends what my favorite Tamil Hero looks like because although Vijay is so strikingly youth-looking and handsome, his lack of grooming plays him out. Whereas Chinese and Malay heroes are so well-groomed even though they may not be as good-looking. This tells the lack of international standards. The title of Vijay’s next movie Vettaikkaran suggests another typical commercial potboiler, with no promise of difference that he promises in every other movie before its release
3. Personality - Being a celebrity, one must be paparazzi friendly. Vijay fails in this aspect. He likes to show himself off as a reserved and quiet personality, which I think should change. Close and friendly interactions with the media are tools to career success and support. The recent video of Vijay blowing his top at a cleaner during a press meet might have sparked some curiosity about his true character - whether he is the type that can accept defeat or not. The incident had occurred because he was being questioned about the flop of Villu. And it amazes me that he, being a big star, could not see this coming because even if not for the story, so many technical aspects of Villu were illogical. The stunt sequences were just beyond belief. Especially one sequence where the speedboat goes underwater. Even three-year old kids wouldn’t believe such a phenomenon.

Asal the Ajith starrer to be produced by Sivaji Productions was launched this morning at 9.30 with the traditional pooja at the Late Sivaji’s house Annai Illam at Boag Road. This event witnessed the presence of noted luminaries from the film world like super star Rajinikanth, Soundarya Rajini, director K Balachander, Suriya, Karthi, S A Chandrashekar, Avm Saravanan, P.Vasu, Sakthi, Jayam Raja, Editor Mohan, Sathyaraj and Lyricst Vairamuthu.
Most of the male dignitaries were spotted in the traditional Tamil costume of Veshti and shirt. Ajithkumar was as usual smart in his silk shirt and dhoti with the Vettarival Meesai. Prabhu who spoke on the occasion said that it is customary for all Sivaji Production’s films to commence with a pooja in Annai Illam and Asal is no exception. He further said, “Though Rajinikanth is a super star, he is a gentle and cultured human being to be with and Ajith is just a replica of him. He is such a fine human being.”
Director Saran hoped that Asal also will be a big hit like Chandramukhi. He also owed his success in the film field to his Guru K Balachander and good friend Ajithkumar. On Asal, he said, “Ajith will be seen in two different getups in the film. There will be two heroines but the names are not yet finalized. This will be music director Bharathwaj’s 50th film. Camera will be cranked by Nirav Shah who will be assisted by Prashanth”.
Vairamuthu, lyricist of the film stated, “The trilogy of me, Bharathwaj and Saran has always worked magic and I am confidant that this magic will continue in Asal also”. While speaking about Saran, Kavi Perarasu said that some directors make films for heroes while some others for producers. However Saran is one director who satisfies everyone.
Superstar Rajinikanth said that though his daughter Soundarya generally does not participate in such functions, she agreed to come today because it is a family affair. Films like Paalum Pazhamum and Veerapandiya Kattabomman which were launched from Annai Illam recorded huge success. Likewise Rajinikanth hoped and wished that Asal also continue in the same success track.
When Ultimate star Ajith rose to speak he said, “I have seen many ups and downs in my life and career. These experiences have taught me to follow strict discipline in my personal life. I am happy to feature in Sivaji Production’s film.”

நேற்றுதான் கவனித்தேன். ஹைதை எங்கும் நடிகர் பிராபசின் புதிய படத்திற்கான ஹோர்டிங்க்ஸ் ஆக்ரமித்திருந்தது. பார்த்த உடனே தெரிந்து விட்டது அது பில்லாவின் ரீமேக் என்று. படு ஸ்டைலாக இருப்பதாக அலுவலகம் முழுவது பேச்சு பரவ, ஆர்வத்துடன் இணையத்தில் மேய்ந்தேன்.ப்ச். அஜித்தின் கால் தூசிக்கு கூட இல்லை.
சிலரிடம் பேச்சுக் கொடுத்தேன். அவர்களுக்கு பிரபாஸை இதற்கு முன் அதிகம் பிடித்ததில்லையாம். ஆனால் இந்தப் படத்தில் சூப்பராக இருப்பதாக சொன்னார்கள். மகேஷ் பாபுவின் தீவிர ரசிகர்கள் கூட பாராட்டு பத்திரம் வாசித்தார்கள். பெண்களிடம் சர்வே நடத்தலாம் என்று நினைத்தேன். ஆண்கள் அளவுக்கு அபரிதமான செல்வாக்கு இல்லை என்றாலும் அங்கேயும் கணிசமான வாக்குகள் வாங்கினார் பிரபாஸ்.
இன்று நான் என் தலையை பிய்த்துக் கொண்டேன். பின் மீண்டும் அடுத்த ரவுண்ட் சென்றேன். இந்த முறை நம்ம தலயின் படஙக்ளை அவர்களுக்கு காண்பித்தேன். அரண்டு விட்டார்கள். அவர்களுக்கு அஜித்தை தெரியுமாம். ஆனால் இந்த ஸ்டில்களை பார்த்ததில்லை என்றார்கள். தல தலதான்.

டைரக்டர் சரண் இயக்கத்தில் அஜித் நடிக்கவுள்ள படம் அசல். சிவாஜி புரொடக்ஷன் சார்பில் நடிகர் பிரபு தயாரிக்கும் இப்படத்தில் அஜித்துக்கு ஜோடியாக நடிக்கும் நடிகை யார்? என இன்னமும் முடிவாகவில்லை. படத்தின் தொடக்கவிழா பூஜை இன்று (8ம்தேதி) சென்னை தி.நகர் செவாலியே சிவாஜிகணேசன் சாலையில் உள்ள அன்னை இல்லத்தில் பிரமாண்டமாக நடந்தது.
விழாவில் சிறப்பு விருந்தினராக நடிகர் ரஜினிகாந்த், தனது மகள் சவுந்தர்யாவுடன் கலந்து கொண்டு வாழ்த்தி பேசினார். அவர் பேசுகையில், என் மகளுடன் எந்த சினிமா விழாவுக்கும் சென்றதில்லை. முதன் முதலாக சவுந்தர்யாவுடன் இணைந்து அன்னை இல்லத்திற்கு இந்த பூஜைக்கு வரவேண்டும் என்று வந்தேன். அவ்வளவு ராசியான வீடு இது. இந்த வீட்டில் இருந்துதானே சிவாஜி சார், வீரபாண்டிய கட்டபொம்மன், பாலும் பழமும், திருவிளையாடல் உள்ளிட்ட படங்களின் படப்பிடிப்புக்கு கிளம்பி சென்றார் என்று நினைக்கும்போதே, பூஜை போடப்படும் அசல் படம் எத்தனை வெற்றி பெறும் என்பது தெரிகிறது. இங்குதான் சந்திரமுகி படத்துக்கும் பூஜை போட்டோம். ஆனால் ரொம்ப சிம்பிளாக பூஜை போடப்பட்டு, அது வெற்றி கண்டது. இன்று அஜித்தின் அசல் இவ்வளவு பிரமாண்டமாக பூஜை போடப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதன் வெற்றி சந்திரமுகியை விட பெரிதாக இருக்க வாழ்த்துகிறேன், என்றார்.
நடிகர் பிரபு பேசுகையில், பில்லா படத்தில் இணைந்து நடிக்கும்போது தம்பி அஜித்திடம் சிவாஜி புரொடக்ஷனுக்கு ஒரு படம் பண்ணணும்னு கேட்டேன். தம்பி சரின்னு ஒத்துக்கிச்சு. இதோ.. டைரக்டர் சரண் இயக்கத்தில் அசல் படத்தை ஆரம்பிச்சிட்டோம். அசல் பட கதைக்காகவோ, கால்ஷீட்டுக்காகவோ ஒரு நாளும் அஜித்தை சூட்டிங் ஸ்பாட்டிலோ, வீட்டிலோ போய் நான் பார்க்கவில்லை. நான் வருகிறேன் என்றபோது அவரே சிவாஜி சார் வீட்டில் வந்து நான் கதை கேட்கிறேன் என்று அன்னை இல்லம் வந்தார். எல்லோரும் விரும்பியதாலும், அப்பாவும்- அம்மாவும் கூடவே இருக்கிற மாதிரி உணர்வு இருக்கிறதாலும் நானும், அண்ணன் ராம்குமாரும் முடிவு செய்து அசல் பூஜையை இங்கேயே வைத்து விட்டோம். இயக்குனர் சரண், அஜித், இசையமைப்பாளர் பரத்வாஜ், கவிஞர் வைரமுத்து, யூகி சேது, கேமராமேன் பிரசாந்த், எடிட்டர் ஆண்டனி, ஆர்ட் டைரக்டர் எம்.பிரபாகரன் என்று வெற்றி கூட்டணி அமைந்திருக்கும் இந்த படத்தின் டைட்டிலுக்கு மேல், அஜித் பெயருக்கு மேல் சிவாஜி புரொடக்ஷன் பிரபு வழங்கும் அவரே போட்டுக் கொள்ளச் சொன்னதால்தான் என் பெயரை அஜித் பெயருக்கு மேல் போட்டுக் கொண்டேன். இதற்காக இங்கு குழுமியிருக்கும் அஜித் ரசிகர்கள் என் மீது கோபம் கொள்ளக் கூடாது என கிண்டலாக பேசிய பிரபு, இந்த படத்தில் டைரக்டர் சரணும், அஜித்தும் விரும்பினால் நானும் ஏதாவது ஒரு ரோலில் நடிப்பேன் என்று விளையாட்டாகவும் பேசினார்.
விழாவில் கவிஞர் வைரமுத்து, ஏவி.எம்.சரவணன், நடிகர்கள் சத்யராஜ், சூர்யா, கார்த்தி, இயக்குனர்கள் கே.பாலசந்தர், பி.வாசு, ஆர்.வி.உதயகுமார், ஜெயம் ராஜா, எடிட்டர் மோகன், ஷாலினி அஜித் உள்ளிட்ட பலர் கலந்து கொண்டனர். அசல் பட பூஜைக்கு அஜித் வந்திருக்கும் தகவல் கிடைத்த ஏராளமான ரசிகர்கள் அன்னை இல்லம் பகுதியில் திரண்டதால், அங்கு காலை 9 மணி முதல் மதியம் 12 மணி வரை டிராபிக்ஜாம் ஏற்பட்டது.

I have seen many of your Films.I have admired you a Lot.Especially your Costumes.After “Billa” i believe “ASAL” will show your Gesture.I am not Sure whether you ‘ll peep into this Forum or not but this the Place where i could say something what i feel.I felt really Bad after watching the Film “Alwar”.
