Aegan prints arrive in USA

The distributors of Aegan, Bharat Creations confirms that the prints for Aegan reached USA and the movie will be released on Oct 24th as scheduled on all major cities. Though initially only 12 prints were planned for Aegan, due to the demand and to make sure all Tamilians across USA will be able to enjoy the festival season two additional prints were ordered for USA, with a total of 14 prints. As stated earlier this is the first time a Ajith movie will be releasing in USA with a record number of prints. Bookings are going with full swing in all locations and is expected to have a big opening this weekend.

“Why did Kuruvi celebrate 150 days?”

I would like to ask the team of behindwoods.com a question to which I need a answer. Recently, I saw the function by the team of Kuruvi celebrating its completion of 150 days. Everyone in Tamilnadu knows that the movie is a flop. Everyone knows the so-so reviews the movie got. In spite of that they celebrate a 150th day function! It’s
not just Kuruvi - all the films that had bad reviews and little collection are doing 100 days. My question to you is: “whom are they trying to convince or what are they trying to prove from this”?
Nowadays even a blockbuster movie cannot run for 100 days because of the availability of pirated DVDs; also there are lot of websites from where the movies are available free of cost. I don’t say that people are not watching movies in the theatre. I am sure that if the movie gets good reviews, then people come to theatres and watch it. And if the movie does not get good reviews, they don’t want to waste their money - hence they download it from these sites. Even I was able to watch some of the directors struggling to speak at that function. They didn’t know what to say.
Even Chandramukhi ran for 700 odd days just because they wanted to set a record. Does Tamil cinema have some political influence off screen?
