The highlights are :
1. The movie is not a rehash of Mein Hoon Na, It has been inspired from Mein Hoon Na and From One Chinese Movie.
2. The Movie is releasing with 400 prints worldwide and 125 prints just abroad. Such kind of a release is equal to Sivaji Release as per Arun Pandian’s statistics.
3. Movie is releasing with more prints in Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, France, USA etc. 15 Prints alone for USA.
4. It Seems since BILLA Ajith’s Fame in BEIJING has been established quite a bit which is something new to Tamil Actors in China. Hence they are releasing AEGAN in Beijing and some new markets in NORWAY AND HONGKONG.
5. Arun Pandian Thanked Ajith for his excellent cooperation as this would be their first in-house production and will be grand enough to satisfy fans and general audience alike. Raju Sundaram also said he was very thankful to Ajith.
6. Raju Said in TAMIL that the movie will be “JANARANJAGAM” Dont know what this word means.
7. In Switzerland usually Tamil movies release only with 1 print but for Aegan they have despatched Totally 3 Prints.
8. Arun Pandian said Ayngaran decided to do their first movie with Ajith ever since they co-produced BILLA and were impressed by Ajith’s professionalism and producer-friendly way of conduct.

8. The news that Villians name was initially JOSEPH CHINNAPA and that AJITH CHANGED it is a Rumour it seems as per Raju Sundaram.
9. Arun Pandian and Raju said this Deepavali is their THALA Deepavali too 1st because of Ajith’s cooperation and next is their 1st venture.
10. The Movie is not an inspiration of Kindergarten Cop as reported by some sections of Media.

hi thala fans our thala movie is releasing on sat, nd do u all knw how many shows thy r running in MAYAJAAL in ECR hmmm thts gr8 tht thy r playing 46 shows per day in 10 screens its even bigger thn DASAVATHARAM ND SIVAJI WOW THALA ROCKS, guys can check with the schedule of movie nd the show is to be played for evy 15 mins, hats of to thala:)

கௌதம் வாசுதேவ்-மேனன். தமிழ் சினிமாவில் புது முயற்சிகளில் ஆர்வம் காட்டும் இயக்குநர்கள் பட்டியலில் கவனத்தை ஈர்க்கிறார். சூர்யாவோடு இணைந்திருக்கும் `வாரணம் ஆயிரம்’ இறுதிக்கட்ட வேலைகளில் இருக்கிறார். ஒரு மாலைப்-பொழுதில் எடிட்டிங்கில் இருந்த கௌதம் வாசுதேவ் மேனனைச் சந்தித்தபோது…
“வாரணம் ஆயிரம்’ ஒரு ஆக்ஷன் என்ற எதிர்பார்ப்பு இருக்கிறது. உண்மையில் இது ஆக்ஷன் படமே இல்லை. `காக்க காக்க’விலிருந்து முற்றிலும் மாறுபட்ட படம் பண்ணவேண்டுமென்று சூர்யாவிடம் புது லைன் சொன்னேன். இதற்கிடையில் என் அப்பா மறைந்துவிட்டார். அவருடைய இறப்புக்குப் பிறகு இந்தக் கதையையே வேறு மாதிரியாக எடுக்கலாமே என்ற எண்ணம் எழுந்தது. காதல், சந்தோஷம், துக்கம் இவற்றிற்கு நடுவில் ஒரு அப்பா எப்படி ஒரு முதுகெலும்பு போல வாழ்க்கைக்குத் துணை நிற்கிறார் என்ற விஷயத்தை என் அப்பாவின் மறைவுக்குப் பின்னால் கதைக்குள் கொண்டு வந்தேன். இன்றைக்கு தமிழ் சினிமாவில் கமலுக்குப் பிறகு மோஸ் வெர்ஸடைல் ஆக்டர் என்றால் சூர்யாதான்.
அஜித்துடன் இணைந்து படம் பண்ணும் எண்ணம் எனக்குண்டு. ஒரு முறை சந்தித்தபோது கேஷுவலாக ஒரு லைன் சொன்னேன். அவருக்கு அந்த லைன் பிடித்திருந்தது. உடனே என்னை நம்பி, `நாம் படம் பண்ணுவோம்’ என்றார் அஜித். இன்றைக்கு வரை கூட என்ன ஸ்கிரிப்ட், என்ன பண்ணப்போகிறோம் என்று கேட்டது இல்லை. அப்படியொரு நம்பிக்கையை இயக்குநருக்குக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார். இதேமாதிரி செல்வராகவன், தரணி, லிங்குசாமி, சசிகுமார், வெங்கட்பிரபு என பல இயக்குநர்கள் இருக்கிறார்கள். ஒரு லைன் சொல்லி, ஷூட்டிங்கிற்கு முன்பாக முழு ஸ்கிரிப்டையும் தயார் பண்ணி விடுவார்கள். இந்த மாதிரி இயக்குநர்களுக்கு ஹீரோக்களும் நம்பிக்கை கொடுக்கவேண்டும். இது ஆரோக்கிய-மான, புதுமையான சினிமாவிற்கு அழைத்துச் செல்லும்.
அஜித்தை வைத்து வழக்கம்போல் இல்லாமல் வேறு மாதிரியாக காட்ட ஆசைப்படுகிறேன். அவர் மோஸ்ட் ஹேண்ட்சம் ஹீரோ என நிறையப் பேர் சொல்வார்கள். அதை நான் ஒரு காதல் கதையில் யூஸ் பண்ணலாம் என நினைத்திருக்கிறேன். அவருக்குப் பிடிக்கும் கேங்ஸ்டர்ஸ் விஷயங்களையும் சேர்த்துப் பண்றேன். ஒரு பெண்ணுடைய பார்வையில் ஒரு ஹீரோ எப்படி இருக்கிறார் என்பதுதான் கதை. தொடர்ந்து மூன்று மாதம் ஷூட்டிங். ஏப்ரல் பதினான்காம் தேதி ரிலீஸ் என திட்டமிட்டு இருக்கிறோம். அஜித்தின் பெயர் `சுறா’. பெயர் எப்படியிருக்கிறது?”.
