Ajith’s 48th film Aegan has been cleared with a U certificate by the Regional Board of Censors. This film is being produced by Ayngaran International along with Arun Pandian. Nayanthara is pairing with Ajith. Navdeep, Suman, Suhasini, Jayaram, Nasar, Sriman and Haneefa are also in the cast. This film is a remake of the block buster Hindi film Mein Hoon Na. cinematographer Arjun Jana has handled the camera. Yuvan Shankar has composed beautiful tunes which have already become a great hit. Stunt Siva has taken care of the stunts. Pa Vijay and Sneghan have penned the lyrics. Raju Sundaram has directed this film apart from composing the dance sequences.

 This film is being released with over 200 prints and with 12 prints exclusively for USA. This will be the first film of Ajith releasing with so many number of prints.
