Ultimate star Ajith Kumar is known for his best quality of keeping up his gratitude of respect for all his friends both in and outside the circle of film industry.
Yesterday with the soul of Raghuvaran departing from this earth, most of the Kollywood stars failed to make it for paying their homage to this versatile actor. However, with few actors like Vikram and Surya making their way, there were no idea that Ajith would be heading to pay his final respect for Raghuvaran.
But Ajith made it a point to come to Raghuvaran’s residence and paid his respect expressing his heartily condolence to his ex-wife Rohini and the small boy child.
Both Ajith and Raghuvaran had shared good rapport in films like Amarkalam and Anchaneya. Not just in the film, but they had a good relationship in real life too….

நடிகர் ரகுவரன் காலமானார்
சென்னை: பிரபல நடிகர் ரகுவரன் காலமானார். அவருக்கு வயது 60.
வில்லன், ஹீரோ, குணசித்திரம் என பல்வேறு பாத்திரங்களில் நடித்த மிகச் சிறந்த நடிகர் ரகுவரன்.
குடிப்பழக்கத்துக்கு அடிமையான ரகுவரன் பல காலமாகவே உடல் நலம் பாதிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தார். அவருக்கு நீரிழிவு நோயும் இருந்தது. சமீபத்தில் காலில் கட்டி வந்து அதை அறுவை சிகிச்சை செய்து அகற்றப்பட்டது.
இந் நிலையில் கடந்த சில தினங்களாக உடல் நிலை மிகவும் மோசமாகியது. இதையடுத்து அவரை கவனித்துக் கொள்ள நர்ஸ் ஒருவர் நியமிக்கப்பட்டார்.
இந் நிலையில் இன்று அதிகாலை அவர் மயங்கினார். இதையடுத்து சென்னை சேத்துப்பட்டில் உள்ள மேத்தா மருத்துவமனைக்கு கொண்டு செல்லப்பட்டார். ஆனால், அதற்குள் அவர் இறந்துவிட்டார். தகவல் அறிந்ததும் அவரது மனைவி ரோகிணி மருத்துமனைக்கு மகனுடன் ஓடி வந்து கதறி அழுதார்.
பின்னர் அவரது உடல் தியாகராய நகர் ஜெகதாம்பாள் தெருவில் உள்ள வீட்டுக்கு கொண்டு செல்லப்பட்டது. உடல் அருகே அமர்ந்து ரோகிணியும் மகன் சாய் சித்தார்த்தும் கதறி அழுது கொண்டிருந்தது அங்கிருந்தவர்களை கலங்கச் செய்தது. இன்று மாலை அவரது உடல் தகனம் செய்யப்படுகிறது.
என்பதுகளில் தமிழில் அறிமுகமான முக்கிய நடிகர்களில் ஒருவர் ரகுவரன். அவர் நடித்த சம்சாரம் அது மின்சாரம், மக்கள் என் பக்கம், மனிதன், ராஜா சின்ன ரோஜா, பாட்ஷா மற்றும் முதல்வன் படங்கள் மறக்க முடியாதவை. 400க்கும் அதிகமான படங்களில் நடித்துள்ளார்.
கே.எஸ்.ரவிகுமாரின் புரியாத புதிர் படத்தில் சைகோத்தனமான வில்லன் என்ற பாத்திரத்துக்கு புதிய பரிமாணம் கொடுத்திருப்பார் ரகுவரன். இடையில் கூட்டுப்புழுக்கள், மைக்கேல் ராஜ், என்வழி தனிவழி போன்ற படங்களில் கதாநாயகனாகவும் நடித்தார். இதில் கூட்டு புழுக்களில் அவரது எதார்த்தமான நடிப்பு மறக்க முடியாதது. ரஜினிக்கு மிகப் பிடித்த நடிகர்களில் ஒருவர் ரகுவரன். அதனால்தான் அவரை தனது பெரும்பாலான படங்களில் நடிக்கச் செய்திருந்தார்.
சிவாஜியில் கூட சில காட்சிகளில் நடித்திருந்தார் ரகுவரன்.
சமீபத்தில் ரிலீசான தொடக்கம் படத்தில் அப்துல்கலாம் வேடத்தில் நடித்திருந்தார் ரகுவரன். அவர் நடித்து கடைசியாக வந்த படம் சில நேரங்களில். இதில் சைக்கோத்தனமான மருத்துவர் வேடத்தில் நடித்திருந்தார். யாரடி நீ மோகினி, அஜீத்தின் புதிய படம் ஆகியவற்றிலும் அவர் நடித்து வந்ததார்.
ரகுவரன் வாழ்க்கைக் குறிப்பு: 1948ம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 11ம் தேதி கோவையில் பிறந்தவர் ரகுவரன். இவரது குடும்பத்தின் பூர்வீகம் கேரளா.
ஏழாவது மனிதன் படம்தான் ரகுவரன் நடித்த முதல் படம். அதன் பின்னர் தொடர்ந்து பல்வேறு படங்களில் நடிக்க ஆரம்பித்தார். தமிழ் தவிர தெலுங்கு, இந்தி உள்ளிட்ட பல்வேறு மொழிப் படங்களில் நடித்துள்ளார்.
ஹீரோவாக நடிக்க ஆரம்பித்த ரகுவரன் பின்னர் வில்லன் கேரக்டர்களுக்கு மாறினார். இதுதான் அவரது பன்முக நடிப்புக்கு வழிவகுத்தது. வித்தியாசமான வில்லத்தனத்தைக் காட்டி நடித்த ரகுவரனுக்கு குறுகிய காலத்திலேயே பெரும் பெயர் கிடைத்தது.
சத்யராஜுடன் நடித்த மக்கள் என் பக்கம், பூவிழி வாசலிலே, என் பொம்முக்குட்டி அம்மாவுக்கு உள்ளிட்ட பல படங்களில் வித்தியாசமான வேடங்களில் கலக்கினார்.
ஒரு மனிதனின் கதை என்ற தொலைக்காட்சித் தொடரில் அவரது நடிப்பு வெகுவாக பேசப்பட்டது. அதில் நல்ல குடும்பத்தைச் சேர்ந்த ஒருவன் குடிகாரனாக மாறி கடைசியில் எப்படி சீரழிகிறான் என்பதுதான் அந்த தொடரின் கதை.
ரகுவரனின் நடிப்புக்குப் பெயர் போன படங்கள் அஞ்சலி, பாட்ஷா, புரியாத புதிர், முதல்வன் என பல படங்களை அடுக்கிக் கொண்டு செல்லலாம்.
கிட்டத்தட்ட தமிழ் திரையுலகின் முன்னணி நடிகர்கள் அனைவருடனும் நடித்துள்ளார் ரகுவரன். அவருடன் நடிக்காத ஒரே நடிகர் கமல்ஹாசன் மட்டுமே.
இன்றைய தலைமுறை நடிகர்களான விஜய், அஜீத், விஷால், சூர்யா, சிம்பு, தனுஷ் ஆகியோருடனும் நடித்துள்ளார் ரகுவரன். இளம் நடிகர்களுக்கு நல்ல ஆலோசகராகவும் விளங்கினார்.
தனது நடிப்பாற்றலால், தென்னாட்டு அல் பசினோ என்றும் புகழப்பட்டவர் ரகுவரன். அவரது மரணம், தமிழ்த் திரையுலகுக்கு பெரும் இழப்பு என்பதில் சந்தேகம் இல்லை.
குடும்பம்:
ரகுவரனின் தந்தை வேலாயுதம், தாய் கஸ்தூரி. இவருக்கு ரமேஷ், சுரேஷ் என்ற சகோதரர்கள் உள்ளனர். ரோகிணியை பிரிந்த பிறகு பெற்றோருடன் வாழ்ந்து வந்தார்.
இரங்கல்: ரகுவரனின் உடலுக்கு நடிகர் சங்க தலைவர் சரத்குமார், பொதுச் செயலாளர் ராதாரவி, நடிகர்கள் சத்யராஜ், விஜய், தலைவாசல் விஜய், விவேக், நடிகை ரேவதி உள்பட ஏராளமானார் நேரில் வந்து அஞ்சலி செலுத்தினர்.
நடிகர்கள் கமல்ஹாசன், தயாரிப்பாளர் சங்கத் தலைவர் ராம நாராயணன் ஆகியோரும் தங்கள் இரங்கலைத் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.
ரகுவரன் உண்மையிலேயே ஒரு இணையில்லா நடிகர் என்றும் அவரது மறைவு தன்னை பெரும் துயரத்துக்குள்ளாக்கியிருப்பதாகவும் ரஜினிகாந்த் இரங்கல் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

சில படங்களை நூறு நாள் ஓட்டுவார்கள். சில அதுவாகவே ஓடும். அஜித்தின் பில்லா இரண்டாவது வகை. நல்ல வசூலுடன் சதமடித்து படத்தில் பணிபுரிந்தவர்களுக்கு இதமளித்திருக்கிறது.
அஜித்தின் முந்தையப் படங்களான கிரீடம், ஆழ்வார் இரண்டும் சரியாகப் போகவில்லை. வெற்றி பெற்றே ஆக வேண்டிய நிர்ப்பந்தத்தில் தொடங்கப்பட்டப் படம் பில்லா. விஷ்ணுவர்தனின் ஸ்டைலிஷான இயக்கம் வெற்றியை சாத்தியப்படுத்தியது.

Ajith has proved that he is still among the top with a great opening. He had a sequence of failures in films like ‘Ji’, ‘Thiruppathi’ and ‘Aazhvaar’. Even his much anticipated movie ‘Kireedam’ did not do well at the box office. Any other star with so many setbacks would have been bogged down by these failures. But Ajith, who believs in himself, raised like a pheonix and proved his worth.
The Ultimate Star has proved that he is an Evergreen Star. He has justified the faith the of investors have in him. By coming out with an outstanding success, he has proved his worth as a star and a fighter, who never lets his confidence go down.
Hats off to Ajith, the evergreen star.

Ajit’s Vishnuvardhan directed Billa is celebrating 100 days today (March 22) in three Chennai screens in noon shows.
The film is said to have grossed an amazing Rs 5.20 crore from Chennai city, the second highest grosser in recent times after Sivaji.
Billa is Ajit’s biggest hit in his career and in Tamilnadu it created a wave, as people simply lapped up this technically chic and stylish film. In a way the film made Ajit a real cool dude superstar.
According to reliable sources in the trade, the worldwide box- office collections from theatrical, DVD, audio and television rights may touch a cool Rs 40 crore!
When the film was announced there were few takers for it, as they felt that the Billa-2007 will not live up to its original Rajinikanth Billa-1980 version. But the skeptics were proved wrong as Ajit’s young fans made the film an event and his biggest box-office hit till date.
Added to that, Nayanthara emerged as the glamour queen of Tamil cinema with Billa. The conservatives were baying for her blood for daring to look glamorous in the film. But at the end of the day, her brave and daring decision to wear a swimsuit in the film made her the hottest heroine in south cinema.
Full credits to director Vishnuvardhan for his perfect casting and packaging of the film, cinematographer Nirav Shah for making it look stunning and costume designer Anu Vardhan for giving a classy trendy and fashionable look to the entire cast.
Finally hats off to Karunamoorthy of Ayngaran International for backing the project from its early days and Pyramid Saimira for their aggressive marketing which made it a super hit. Ajit’s Billa will go down in history books as a trendsetter which changed the look of big budget commercial cinema in Kollywood.

Rich legacies need worthy inheritors, they don’t come easy or fast, they can be the most unexpected and most underappreciated candidates for the privilege and yet they inherit the legacy with pride and distinction. There is a portion out of the English animation film Ratatouille that seems appropriate here. The voice over in this portion said ‘In many ways, the work of a critic is easy’. We risk so very little andyet enjoy a position over
those who offer their work and self up to our judgment. We revel in negative criticism which is both fun to write and read but the truth that we must admit is that in the grand scheme of things the most average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so.’
But there are times when the critic in us gets a chance to defend something new, something that deserves its place at the top. Talent is nothing without opportunity and the world often tends to be unkind and dismissive to talent that does not get the right opportunity. Not every opportunity is the right one but the right one can come any time and when the time comes the talent blooms. For years now this man has been the Aegan in Kollywood, battling on, fighting and faltering but never giving up. For a leading hero his success-failure ratio is not very bright, something even he will agree being an honest and straightforward man. Yet for the thousands of Thala fans who throng theaters every time his film releases he has been and remains the Ultimate Star Ajith Kumar. His career has been much like a rose plant, there have been the roses of success but there are also thorns of failure that have hurt. Looking at it objectively, he has had more ups and downs in his career than the average Kollywood flick in which he appears and in spite of all that he is here in 2008, more than 15 years after his debut, vindicating the unflinching support of his adoring fans, his well wishers. Today Billa completes 100 days in theaters.
What does this unique 100 mean to Ajith? First, it is a rasping answer to all those who have doubted his abilities. When Billa was announced there were a lot of aspersions cast. Can Ajith carry off a role that was immortalized by the Superstar, can he bring the same magic on screen or will this one be a lame and pale reflection on one of Rajini’s landmark movies? These were tough questions to answer and to carry on with one’s work in the face of such imposing expectations was tougher. But driven by conviction, determination and faith in the director Ajith soldiered on. The confidence that stemmed out of his widely appreciated performance in Kreedom must also have helped. The product was not a simple recreation of what we saw and loved in 1981, Billa 2007 was a stylish, slick and sleek adaptation of Tamil cinema’s Don. Style was redefined and a new genre of Tamil cinema emerged, one driven by style and presentation, we are sure to see more movies bordering on this genre soon. The hard work put in and the faith sown in the director shine through in every frame of Billa.
To not give adequate credit to the entire team that realized the Billa dream would be gross injustice and so here is the roll of honor. First, to Vishnuvardhan for his great vision and gumption to attempt something as risky as Billa, no film in the recent past has margins of error with potentially disastrous consequences as Bill had. Also, a very special mention on behalf of all Thala fans for bringing to us the resurgent Ultimate Star, free from the shackles of troublesome failures. The technical team was of paramount importance in actualizing the stylish vision that Vishnuvardhan had for Billa. Be it the fights, the chases or the lighting, everything had class and finesse, elements that separate the hits from the blockbusters.
2007 has been a great year for fans of the Ultimate Star. Their faith in their beloved Thala has come good. Of course, the year started off in the same familiarly disturbing pattern of failure with Aalwar. But Kreedom turned the tide. Not a money raker, but a movie that reminded us of the talents that Ajith possesses as an actor. Then, along came Billa and the rest as they say, is history. Today, on the 100th day of Billa’s theatrical run (reign) when we look back down the line we can see how close Thala was, to being a spring that may never have blossomed. There were times when weaker men would have lost hope but he stood firm. Ajith is back and he is on track.
Maybe, becoming a father brings with it the charms of success. May this charm continue to work. We need the Aegan of Kollywood to give us more Billas.

Hope you all doing well with your life..!
Its very glad and ecstatic to hear Billa crossed 100 days..! And now its time to see the other part of the side..Eventhough it is running successfully, the theatres stopped showing Billa…. For eg. In Kerala, Billa broken Shivaji Collections means, it probably would have collected much more here, but what made the theatre owners to take Billa from the theatre…. Its confirmed that some underground politics is running very fastly specially with Ajith film…
Those people who dont like Ajith’s growth only made this for sure… They saw the hype which is created before the film release, also they didnt thought that Ajith has got these much of support from the people, they may be thought that the film will not be good…. Bad Luck for those people, God is with our Thala, so the film also excellent and got an extordinary opening…. Suddenly the world started seeing Ajith next to Rajini.. These all factors made them to do some opposite actions against Ajith…
If not all the above reasons, whats the major reason behind that they took off billa from most of the theatre inspite it is running so well and also much ahead of Pongal films too..?
Now, Coming to smaller screens…. Kalignar TV started showing Rajini and Ajith for their ISAI ARUVI promo… As like all Ajith fans, me too thought that they will play lots of Ajith songs and give importance to Ajith.. But I was very much disappointed with them…
Rarely only they are playing Ajith songs in Isai Aruvi… Another great let off by them is.. At 9 PM or 10 PM (i am not sure) they are showing trailers.. For this program they will show some sequence of Actors…. in that itself they are showing V***y after Rajini.. After showing V***Y only they are showing our Thala…. I was greatly upset with that only..I am having strong guess that these media are using Ajith as one of the advertisement, since he has the large fan base they can easily spread their channel, thats what happend in Isai Aruvi.. Let see the rest of the days once the program starts rolling in that channel..!!
Then coming to Sun Music.. ! I guess without our Thala fans, they wont get much SMS money… coz, about 80% of SMS is for Ajith only…. Here also the profit goes only for the Sun Music.. Now, a twist between the later channel i mentioned.. Since Kalignar TV started showing Ajith too much, now sun music also started playing Ajith song equally to V***Y songs….
