It’s a rise of new dawn after three consecutive versions; the fourth don has finally hit the screens this Friday. The entire media focusing on the 4 th don has Ajith’s enchanting performance and an excellent directorial by Vishnuvardhan.
Well, as you all know first it was Amitabh’s Don that later remade into Tamil titled ‘Billa’ starring Superstar Rajnikanth. Fine! The dons’ era wasn’t over with this for Farah Akthar remade the Hindi version with Shah Rukh in lead role with pinch of variations with original version.
Cool! Vishnuvardhan might have felt it would be right choice to remake the Tamil version too. With the same thought was our Thala who had an eye towards remakes of the same regional movies. But was not sure about the remake movie he wanted to go for. Awestruck by his enthralling performance in Varalaru, Rajnikanth patted Ajith’s shoulder and here was the re-birth of Billa. Expressing his likeness of remaking films of Rajnikanth, he opted for Billa and superstar had a green signal made ready for him.
Grouping all these 4 versions of same movie, they all had great leading superstars Amithab Bacchan, Rajnikanth, Shah Rukh and now Ajith. All the versions have been presented well, but there always exists a problem of comparisons.
Coming up with this issue, Ajith Kumar has his statement requesting not to compare all the four versions. In particular, he pleads all not compare himself with other stars who have enacted the same role in different versions. That’s right, everyone posses something unique and they are different in one or the other way.
Everyone in the film units’ work hard with passion and innovativeness. These are the things that all should appreciate about and not about the performance and other unwanted aspects.

Billa is an out and out Ajit film. Don’t forget to carry a whistle with you when you watch Ajit meld into two characters- Billa with his Armani suit, Rayban glasses, has a Bond look about him and is cucumber cool while Velu is a riot as he brings the house down with typical one-liners (Athu aaru thalai, Naan oru thalai). Ajit brings to Tamil cinema a desification of Steven Segal, Van Damme style of pure high octane action and humour. He seems to be telling the audiences to just sit back and enjoy the fireworks. In short Ajit as Billa is a rocker!
On the whole, neatly packaged, Billa has lived up to its hype. If you are looking for an enjoyable fantasy ride, you wouldn’t be disappointed.

Chennai witnessed a carnival on the eve of Thalai’s new release. ‘Billa’, one of the mega films of the year, is released today (December 14) with a grand opening.
Ajith fan’s virtually made it a colourful carnival. Huge crowds were seen in front of the halls that screen the film. Cut outs, banners, posters, and flags filled the surrounding areas. The celebrations remind one of the celebrations of Superstar Rajini’s release.

There’s nothing to beat the grand opening of an Ajith film. Even if his earlier film is a flop, Ajith fans turn out in droves to support their idol’s new releases.
For record ticket reservations also, ‘Billa’ comes a close second to ‘Sivaji.’ Mayajaal, Inox, Sathyam and Abhirami theatres have been sold out. In Chenani alone, ‘Billa’ is being screened in 14 theaters, a feat for an Ajith film.In Chennai, Mayajaal will screen 14 shows, Inox screens 7 shows, and 2 theatres in Sathyam complex screen ‘Billa.’
Theatre owners believe the first week’s collection alone will reimburse the production cost. Like the city, ‘Billa’ fever seems to be high even in B & C centres, so that could well happen even under a week:)

மனசே மனுஷனா இருந்தா எப்படியிருக்கும்? அப்படியிருக்கிறார் அஜீத். கார்ப்பரேட் நிறுவனங்கள் அஜீத்தை வளைத்துப் போட கோடிகளை வைத்துக் கொண்டு நிற்க, ஆபத்தில் இருக்கிற தயாரிப்பாளர் ஒருவருக்கு கைகொடுத்திருக்கிறார்.
பீமா படத்தை ரிலீஸ் செய்ய முடியாத இக்கட்டில் இருக்கும் ஏ.எம்.ரத்தினம், முன்னணி நடிகர்கள் கால்ஷீட் இருந்தால் அதை வைத்து மீண்டும் எழுந்துவிடலாம் என்று தவித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார். தமிழ்சினிமாவின் முன்னணி நடிகர்களையெல்லாம் அணுகியபோதும் யாரும் செவி கொடுப்பதாக இல்லை. அஜீத்திடம் கேட்க முடியாத அளவுக்கு இருவருக்குமான நட்பு உடைந்து போயிருந்தது. காரணம்… ஒரு சின்ன பிளாஷ்பேக். சுமார் எட்டு வருடங்களுக்கு முன், பெப்சி அமைப்புக்கும், இயக்குனர்களுக்கும் பிரச்சனை வந்தபோது அஜீத் பெப்சி அமைப்புக்கு ஆதரவு தெரிவித்தார். இது பிடிக்காத ரத்தினம், தன் படத்தில் நடிக்க அஜீத்திற்கு கொடுத்திருந்த அட்வான்சை அன்றைய தினமே திருப்பி தர வேண்டும் என்று வற்புறுத்தினார். எங்கெங்கோ அலைந்து கடன் வாங்கி அட்வான்சை திருப்பிக் கொடுத்தார் அஜீத். அன்று வெளிப்படையாக இனிமேல் ரத்தினம் தயாரிக்கும் படங்களில் நடிப்பதில்லை என்று அறிவித்தார் அஜீத்.
காலம் சில நேரங்களில், நிலவரத்தை கலவரமாக்கும். அப்படியாகிவிட்ட ரத்தினத்திற்குதான் இப்படி கைகொடுத்திருக்கிறார் அஜீத். ஷங்கரும் இவரும் இணையவிருக்கும் புதிய படத்தை ரத்தினத்தின் சூர்யா மூவிஸ் பேனரில் தயாரிக்க ஒப்புக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார். இதன் காரணமாக பீமா ரிலீஸ் ஆகிவிடும். ரத்தினமும் பழைய நிலைமைக்கு வந்துவிடுவார்.

Hi Thala soldiers,
‘Billa’ is definitely the most sought after project in recent times. Ananda Pictures has sold the film to Aingaran International for a sizable amount. Aingaran initially planned to release the film on its own but somehow changed its mind and sold the distribution rights to Pyramid Saimeera with a profit of some crores.
Pyramid releases the film in more than 200 theatres with 176 film prints and around 50 digital prints. It also arranges a special premiere for the film. The profit of the premiere will go for the trust of a famous religious leader. The tickets meant for the VVIPs are praised at astonishing rates. It is rumoured that a ticket costs some thousands.
‘Billa’ is really making big money

really the movie is rocking,when we viewing the movie, we didn’t feel that we r viewing a kollywood movie, really we feel we feel we r viewing a hollywood movie like james bond movie. everbody who involve in the movie works perfect and neat. two heories looking gorgeous expecially nayanthara looks so good. there is no doubt that the billa 2007 to be the trendsetter for the entire southindian film industry .
congrats ajith do taking a challanging role and done it in your own style.nobody have guts to do such charcters. i wish you to keep rocking like this for the upcoming projects.
