Hi guys, I saw the 12:00Pm show in Albert theater , it was really festive atmosphere there fans doing pal abishegam,burning crackers,and shouting ajith jargons.And about the film i have never seen a movie like this for a long time,its was a pure visual treat.The scrren appearance of ajith was dashing !!!!!!!!!.The movie is a real class work done by vishnu and his team.Ans it will not be fair if vishnu’s wife anu is not been praised for the costume in the movie.This is a obsolute thala movie;for all thala fans this will defenetly be a cake dipped in honey.Hats off to BILLA team and we fans will see to that the movie runs past 100 Days.

Sleek masala entertainer, is a genre which Tamil cinema is not much used to. Thanks to bravery of Vishnu and Ajith, you will see more such movies from now on.
Billa
To remake a film which was a trendsetter of its times involving someone who was and continues to be the super star, requires sharp skills and is tantamount to walking on thin ice. But where Vishnu Vardhan scores is in his crystal clear vision. He doesn’t want to challenge the original nor change its content. All he wants to do is to repackage it stylishly for today’s trend with some present avant-garde styles in film making. The deliberate attempts by the director not to follow the super star’s style are palpable in every frame which has made Billa stand out tall and high.
Ajith as the ruthless David Billa is a revelation. Stylish, menacing and electrifying, he seems to have thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and has completely lived up to it. Rajinikanth can definitely be proud of his successor he has chosen for the tough job.
As the simpleton Velu, Ajith is lively and light, combining with Prabhu for some great moments. When asked by Prabhu to don the role of Billa, Velu expresses his dislike saying that Lord Muruga will not approve of this. When Prabhu sights sura samhara as an example, Ajith counters him saying that ‘avarukku aaru thala, aana enakku orey thala’, having his fans simply break into raptures.
The introductory scene of Nayantara rocks and is on par with such scenes of any other hero of current times. She looks fit, debonair and effortlessly sizzles. Namitha as CJ and Billa’s lover appears in glamorous outfits and satisfies her fans. Prabhu as DCP, cannot be better. Rahman as Interpol officer has done his job well.
Action scenes directed by stunt man William Ong are the highlights. The car chase sequences are first of its kind in Tamil, with Ajith’s racing image adding to the grandeur. Sound effects are perfect and in sync with natural sound and the credit goes to
Ayyappan. His efforts come to the fore especially in action sequences. Yuvan Shankar does it once again. ‘My name is Billa’, though shot differently, lacks the original’s magic. The ‘Vethalayai Pottendi’ number could also have been better.
Vishnu doesn’t waste too much time or dialogues on character building. He seems to have depended more on rapid cuts to make the screen play tighter and taut. The two biggest pillars of support for him come from costume department and cinematography section. Kudos to Vishnu’s wife, Anu Vardhan’s hard work and eye for details to get the colors and feel of the costumes perfect. Nirav Shah, the cinematographer’s work is of superlative nature and the result is an absolute visual delight. Seamless editing by Sreekar Prasad adds to the flow of the film.
Billa
On the whole, neatly packaged, Billa has lived up to its hype. If you are looking for an enjoyable fantasy ride, you wouldn’t be disappointed.

What can you expect when the ‘King of Opening’, does a remake of the Superstar movie with a young and stylish director? Magic. And Vishnu Vardhan offers that in full dose in Ajith’s version of the ever-popular Superstar’s movie Billa. It is an experience that should be cherished for a while now.
The trailer was awesome with the action sequences and camerawork similar to that of a Hollywood movie. With the music already ruling the roost, the movie was expected with bated breath. I am sure that you will not be disappointed.
Ajith is considered as the king of opening, and rightly so all the theatres around the world will carry a houseful board this whole weekend and perhaps weeks to come. Ajith looks stylish and rightly said by the Superstar himself only Ajith can carry the role. Nayantara has shed her homely image and looks slick and sexy.
Vishnu Vardhan, after Kurumbu, hit back with two hits Arindhum Ariyamalum and Pattiyal but this movie clearly won’t add to that list, as it is sure to become a blockbuster.
Why you should see? – Remake of the Superstar’s classic and it features the ultimate star Ajith.
Why you shouldn’t? – Because you don’t like remakes.

Hi Thala fanz this is for the first time tht Sathyam Cinemas is Playing 10 shows in the premises and till the third week all shows r house full and only few tickets for two shows in between the week dayz Thala rocks and fans watch the movie as much as u can becz i took already two shows per day going to go tomorrow morning at kasi theater for 11:30 show and day after tomorrow in Prathana 10:00 show becz its worth to watch as much as we can, really thala rocks!!!

Excellent movie i saw it in Banalore INOX theatre, even Kanada people are shouting thala and whistle were blowing like anything for each walk and looks, Seen the sleek and stylish THALA after so many days. Talks going to everyone with Kanada people here is excellent and no one can do this character except THALA. PEOPLE MAY THINK THAT I AM PRAISING BECAUSE OF AJITH FAN but i am not like that i am straight forward in anything including THALA, here in the film the 98% is excellent and 2% climax looks slight dull but that is destroyed with 98% so almost comes to 100% excellent entertainment.
So i wish thala to concentrate more on songs & dance( Kuthu) which is more important to Tamil Nadu mentality and to do commercial films with style and dialogues.
Hope Thala sees this message and work on the particulars to meet SUPER STAR position.
Thala please choose good directors, good story and good musician like YUVAN,DEVI SHRI PRASAD and A.R and concentrate on Dancing. Best of Luck

really the movie is rocking,when we viewing the movie, we didn’t feel that we r viewing a kollywood movie, really we feel we feel we r viewing a hollywood movie like james bond movie. everbody who involve in the movie works perfect and neat. two heories looking gorgeous expecially nayanthara looks so good. there is no doubt that the billa 2007 to be the trendsetter for the entire southindian film industry .
congrats ajith do taking a challanging role and done it in your own style.nobody have guts to do such charcters. i wish you to keep rocking like this for the upcoming projects.
