The latest buzz doing rounds in Kollywood is that ‘Billa’, a remake of yesteryear Rajnikanth classic titled the same, will hit the screens on 12 December. Call it quite appropriate for it is Super Star Rajnikanth’s birthday.
Produced by Anandha Suresh and directed by Vishnuvardhan, the new version of ‘Billa’ features Ajith in dual roles with Nayantara and Namitha giving him company. Yuvanshankar has scored the music.
A major portion of the movie was shot in Malaysia.
“It is a trendy and chic film. It’s an honest remake and we have not tried to experiment with the storyline”, says Vishnuvardhan.
