The Ajith starrer Mankatha -a blockbuster movie of 2011, which completed its 100-day run recently, has been re-released on certain screens in Tamil Nadu January 3 onwards. Directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Cloud Nine, the movie saw Ajith in a negative role with Trisha in the lead opposite him. The film also marked the milestone 50th flick for Thala.
Sources say that the lackluster show of some of the big actors’ films and small budget movies forced the theater exhibitors to go back to Mankatha.
