Picture Info: Ajith Kumar at Seat Fitting Session at Bedford UK.
The first event on the 2010 FIA Formula 2 Championships calendar is scheduled to take place in Silverstone, UK on April 16. Ajith Kumar is already in UK getting the hang of his car and preparing for a major thrust in the first race of the season. He is presently at Bedford Autodrome, Thurleigh, Bedford, UK getting his seat engineered to perfection. Car number 28 sports the FMSCI label, which is Ajith’s way of acknowledging the Indian motor sports body and the efforts that they have done to inspire Indian drivers like Narain Karthikeyan, Karun Chandhok, Arman Ebrahim, Parthiva Sureshwaran and Ajith himself. James Goodfield is the Chief Engineer at F2.
Says Piers Hunnisett, “It is a great pleasure to be able to work with a driver such as Ajith; he has so much enthusiasm for the sport and for this year he is putting in 110 % effort into his racing career. It has been a couple of years since he last raced professionally in Formula 3 so it will take a couple of races in Formula 2 to get back up to speed, but I believe he has the dedication and the focus to produce some good results during the year.”
