Ajit prefers Vishnuvardhan!

Now it is confirmed that Dharani will not be directing Ajit for Sivaji Productions. Industry buzz is that he had “creative differences” with the ultimate star. Ajit fans also suspected his loyalty which they feel was with “Chiyaan and Ilayathalapathy”.

Added to that Dharani told Sivaji Productions that he comes as a package along with his favourites- Vidyasagar and cameraman Gopinath. This was not acceptable for Sivaji Productions as they had already paid advances to Harris Jayaraj and a well known cameraman, who were part of the original Gautham Menon team.

The latest on the front is that Ajit is going all out to woo Vishnuvardhan, his current favourite after he gave him his biggest hit Billa. Vishnu however does not like to be rushed as he is yet to complete Sarwam, which will now release only for summer of 2009. He does not like to start a new film without the release of his earlier film.

But Sivaji Productions and Ajit can’t wait, as they want the film to start in December and release it for summer. Sources close to Vishnu says that he is yet to work out the script and is also particular like Dharani that he “comes as a package- Yuvan Shankar Raja, Nirav Shah and stunt master Thyagarajan!”

Vishnuvardhan, Ajith discuss screenplay

Now it looks like Vishnuvardhan will surely direct Ajith’s 49th film. It is heard that the young director, who is busy with Sarvam starring Arya and on the verge of completion, has chalked out a rough screenplay for Ajith’s 49th film which will be produced by Sivaji Productions.

The two have reportedly held telephonic discussions for new ideas about the film. Recently, Vishnu phoned Ajith to discuss some stunt scenes. Apparently, Ajith was highly impressed. It is heard that Vishnuvardhan is planning to make this film even more stylish and flamboyant than Billa 2007.

So, it looks like Vishnuvardhan will surely be directing Ajith in his 49th film, which is going to be grander than Billa 2007.

Sivaji Productions will be producing Ajith’s 49th film and there has been a lot of speculation as to who the director would be? Things seem to be settling now and the name Vishnuvardhan appears to be final.

Vishnuvardhan directed Ajith for Billa and tasted success. He is now busy with the post-production of ‘Sarvam’ that stars Arya and Trisha. However, reports suggest that Vishnuvardhan has his thoughts on the Ajith film he is going to direct.

It has been reported that Vishnuvardhan had a thought about an action sequence and immediately called up Ajith and told him about the scene. Ajith was reportedly happy with it and had said that that he hopes the new project would be twice as stylish as ‘Billa’.

Let’s see if Ajith and Vishnuvardhan can rock once again with the new project.

Ultimate star Ajith’s ‘Aegan’ has registered a record Initial

The story, a take-off on the Shah Rukh-starrer ‘Main Hoon Na’, has nothing new to offer.

Raju Sundaram, very successful as a choreographer, does not impress in his maiden attempt at direction.

Ajith’s crowd pulling powers, Nayantara’s glamour and Ravivarman’s cinematography are the factors that work in ‘Aegan’s favour.

‘Aegan’ has, so far, collected Rs 3 crore in Chennai.

Strength: Ajith, Nayantara

Weakness: Hackneyed story, screenplay.

B.O.Verdict: Great opening
